Here are the basic steps for using a soldering iron:
1. Prepare the work area: Place all necessary tools and materials, such as solder, soldering station, digital microscope, tweezers, soldering wire, etc.
2. Wear personal protective equipment: Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from welding spatter. Use heat-resistant gloves to prevent burns.
3. Preheat the soldering iron: Turn on the power switch of the soldering iron and start preheating. The temperature is around 350 degrees Celsius.
4. Prepare the microscope: Start the microscope, place the circuit board on the base plate and fix it, adjust it to the appropriate height and magnification, and position the components.
5. Coat the soldering iron tip with tin: During the heating process of the soldering iron tip, lightly apply the solder wire on the soldering iron tip. This helps improve heat transfer efficiency.
6. Solder connection: Gently touch the soldering iron tip to the component to be connected, and then lightly apply the melted solder wire to ensure a good connection. Be careful not to press too hard on the components to avoid damaging them.
7. Clean the soldering iron tip: During use, clean the soldering iron tip regularly to remove welding slag and dirt to maintain its effectiveness.
8. Turn off the soldering iron: After using the soldering iron, coat the soldering iron head with tin and put it back on the soldering iron stand to avoid falling and getting burned. Turn off the power switch.
