On October 18, 2023, Andonstar ushered in an important moment– the 10th anniversary.

On October 18, 2013, Shenzhen Andonstar Technology Co., Ltd. was formally established. After ten years of hard work and continuous innovation, our team has become stronger, the products have become more diversified, and the market has become broader. Only then has Andonstar become an amazing company. Therefore, we organized a 10th anniversary celebration dinner party.

General Manager Liu’s speech took us back to the past ten years, which was a decade of struggle. We’ve grown from a few employees to dozens of outstanding team members today. Mr. Liu emphatically thanked each department and every employee for their hard work in this process.

Time flies, 2023 is the 10th year of Andonstar’s establishment, and it has grown upwards in the past 10 years. From one person to a group of people, from dreams in the heart to light in the eyes. We are embarking on the next new journey. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the establishment of Andonstar, we have recently organized this team-building activity to invite all employees to share the joy and harvest and go on a romantic and interesting trip. The team building location this time is Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom.

In the morning, we set off in Shenzhen, wearing the same shirts and carrying Andonstar’s backpack, showing the close cohesion of the company’s team. The sun was shining brightly, and everyone was in high spirits and ready to spend an extraordinary weekend.

When we arrived at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, we seemed to have entered a magical world. Featuring breathtaking displays of aquatic life, including various types of corals, ocean fish, dolphins, sea lions, whale sharks and more. There are also many thrilling rides.

The electric soldering iron mainly consists of the following parts: 

Soldering Tip: This is the front-most part of the soldering iron and is usually made of copper. The soldering iron tip is heated and used to transfer heat.

Soldering Iron Handle: The handle is usually made of insulating material to protect the user from high temperatures.

Power Cord: A soldering iron usually comes with a power cord that connects the iron to an electrical outlet.

Temperature Controller: Some soldering irons have a temperature control function that allows the user to adjust the temperature of the iron according to the needs of the job.

Here are the basic steps for using a soldering iron:

1. Prepare the work area: Place all necessary tools and materials, such as solder, soldering station, digital microscope, tweezers, soldering wire, etc.

2. Wear personal protective equipment: Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from welding spatter. Use heat-resistant gloves to prevent burns.

3. Preheat the soldering iron: Turn on the power switch of the soldering iron and start preheating. The temperature is around 350 degrees Celsius.

4. Prepare the microscope: Start the microscope, place the circuit board on the base plate and fix it, adjust it to the appropriate height and magnification, and position the components.

5. Coat the soldering iron tip with tin: During the heating process of the soldering iron tip, lightly apply the solder wire on the soldering iron tip. This helps improve heat transfer efficiency.

#1 The first tool we have is the soldering iron. This handheld device is used to heat up the soldering joint, allowing the solder to melt and create a strong electrical connection.

#2 The next tool is the hot air gun/heat gun. It’s useful for tasks like surface mount component removal and rework, as it blows hot air to heat and remove components.

#3 We have solder wire. It’s a thin metal wire that contains a flux core. Flux helps clean the surface and promotes the flow of solder.

#4 Next, we have a sponge and cleaning balls. These are used to clean the soldering iron’s tip, removing any residue or excess solder.

#5 Next up is soldering flux. It’s a chemical compound that helps solder flow and improves wetting on the surfaces being soldered.

#6 We also have rosin, which is used as a flux core for some types of solder wire. It helps remove oxidation and ensures a reliable solder joint.

#7 Moving on to other tools, we have solder wick or desoldering braid. It’s used for removing excess solder or cleaning up mistakes.

#8 A pair of tweezers is essential for handling small components and precise placement during soldering.

#9 We also have finger cots, which are anti-static to avoid direct contact with sensitive components and damage to the product.

We need to gradually locate and solve the problems one by one to reduce the failure rate, improve the production line yield, and improve the average Trouble-free time and reduce after-sales problems. 

This section introduces several common analysis ideas, which are common in hardware circuits such as mobile phones, tablets, and computers.

1.Poor soldering – short circuit.

The factory may cause partial tin connection during SMT, and the amount of tin connection is not much. Therefore, the system is normal when it is first used. As the temperature rises or the board vibrates, the tin connection begins to affect the circuit, which in turn makes the circuit work abnormally.

2.Poor soldering- false soldering.

This is also a common soldering problem, many students have encountered, some ICs do not work properly, after soldering (that is, re-soldering) can be used normally, which is likely to be a false soldering.

3.Vibration leads to false solder.

PCB circuit boards will inevitably vibrate during use, such as motor vibration in mobile phones, propeller vibration in drones, or daily drops. These high-frequency vibrations are likely to cause components to fall off or aggravate the false solder. 

4.Vibration causes chip damage.

This needs to be seen clearly under a digital microscope, and it can be seen that there are cracks on the surface of the chip;

Sometimes there is no abnormality on the surface, but the inside of the chip is damaged. The original chip manufacturer needs to perform root cause analysis. Therefore, engineers generally check the appearance and impedance of abnormal ICs. At the same time, the students in charge of the structure should analyze whether the chip is in a stress-sensitive area.

5.Chip burned out.

This also needs to be observed through a digital microscope. For a product with a very compact project schedule, both the chip manufacturer and the product need to analyze the problem synchronously, and exclude their own circuit and exclude the IC.

6.There is a problem with the chip itself.

Chips also have factory batches, and the production environment of different batches will be more or less different. It is possible that this batch of chips has problems in itself.

7.Counterfeit chips.

This is one of the most annoying reasons…..

  1. the dimmer cable is only to power on the lights now;
  2. You should connect the microscope monitor to computer via the USB cable in the package.
  3. And we recommend to use a desktop instead of a laptop due to many laptops’ USB port can not guarantee a strong and stable electric current.

This is a easier one compared to working with computers. But there are users who couldn’t get a stable image due to the unstable power supply. So, we recommend you to connect every part as follows:
